So I haven't gotten the unit yet. But I have a few questions if someone is able to answer them.

    1. Once you pair a phone to it, then want to pair another persons phone to it, how do you choose which device automatically pairs if they are in the same vicinity?
    2. Do you guys have the control box hidden away behind the oem stereo, or do you need to be able to access it frequently enough that it should be stashed within easy reach?

    1. I haven't come across this situation, but I'd imagine you'd have to manually unpair whatever phone is paired, and manually pair the other phone. I could be wrong though, so see if the manual is online.
    2. I have mine completely hidden away. My BT module came with a separate button you can wire in to answer phone calls with it (pressing it answers the phone) but I opted to not install it since my phone is always mounted near the radio, and I just answer from there. Hope this helped.

Cool thanks, definitely helped! There is barely any instructions or manuals online from what I have found yet. Aw yes that makes sense, that isn't too bad. Thanks!

You're welcome! And to clarify, I have the ipod integration with the separate BT module, and I'm unsure if that differs from the pure BT module in terms of pairing.

Aw yes indeed they do but your information definitely helped as far as the pairing. I guess I will let my wife pair her phone in my truck as long as it isn't a hassle for me to then pair mine haha. Thanks

So installed the pure bluetooth kit over the weekend, using that panel mount 3.5mm/usb mount above. I ended up using velcro and mounting it in my coin try or ashtray, whatever that little deal is to the left of the stereo, and did not make any permanent holes in anything. It is easy to plug and unplug things without fatiguing the connections to the actual module which I hid behind the stereo.

My phone stream sounds really good, as does the 3.5mm audio jack. Everything works as it should. The installation was super easy, the most difficult part being fishing the wires through all the little spaces. I put the microphone on the a-pillar. I'd say it was well worth the $140 so far.

For a little over a year now I've had the Apps2Car bluetooth kit installed in my truck. I put a piece of Velcro on the back of the unit and it's attached securely behind the stereo on some black plastic component in the dash. Not even abusive wheeling has shook this thing loose. Naturally the excess wire is coiled and zip tied for a nice clean install.

Cost me $60, shipped with Amazon prime. The microphone that came with it is garbage so I took it out. You really could plug in any aux mic you want into it, but my cab hasn't been sound deadened yet so the mic quality at speed would be quite atrocious.

I just the let the tunes roll and ignore the phone while I drive. Truckin is just more relaxing that way. Sound quality is prime and I haven't had a single issue with it so far. Some reviewers on Amazon said their units had quirks, perhaps I am just lucky but for $60 it was worth every damn dollar.
