I have and they make amazing campers. My wife however is very keen on getting a trailer. I'd like to have a trailer to use as a base camp and have a camper on the truck as a mobile camp. Right now the budget allows it but I still want to see what I'm buying first hand before laying out the loot for it.

Agreed, keeping "Household 6" content helps bypass allot of stress.

Thanks man, it's rough but I've seen others go through worse. Thankfully having this project helps me take my mind off of the daily BS as well as the added benefit of the friends I've made here.

Thanks man, it wouldn't be anywhere near where it is without all of the ideas and suggestions I've gotten from you guys here in the internet.

Today was supposed to be "game day" planning day for me as I'm going to be seeing the bulk of the loot that I'm going to use for the next wave of upgrades in the next week or so. But since no good deed goes unpunished, my main desktop computer died this morning, two days after I gave my backup to a friend. FML. Luckily it's a Mac, so I just hit the recovery mode option and it is downloading the latest version of the OS software from their FTP server and reinstalling everything. Good looking out Cupertino. Sucks though as I've lost some notes that I made that didn't get moved into the section that gets backed up. My fault, and lesson learned.

Bumper stuff, still haven't heard from @RelentlessFab about the front bumper yet. Starting to sweat about it being here in time to get fitted/customized/powder coated before the Lone Start Jamboree event in May. On the rear bumper, I've decided that if @Whitecloud still has the Rico swingout carrier for sale when the money deposits, then I will go ahead and buy his.

Back to the "game day attack plan." Here is the list that I need to try and get sorted out prior to Jamboree. Putting it here in case I have another computer failure.

    1. ECGS Gears and lockers. Hope to get everything ordered pre-assembled to reduce the shop time. Will get 4.56 gear ratio as per @ChandlerDOOM's recommendation with ARB air lockers front and back. ECGS has an option to have the solid spacer installed into the clamshell by them so that will get done as well.
    2. Order new front hubs from one of the two vendors here on TW that I know I can trust.
    3. Get back with Bailey @Baja Designs to finalize my lights order, I had one large order stacked up when they had the black friday sale but their website was acting funky and I never got to finalize it. Of course now they've added some new stuff to their product line so I get to spend more time geeking out on features and specifications.
    4. Order a CO2 tank and accessories for my onboard air arrangement. We talked about a dedicated system being installed in truck earlier in this thread and that will happen, but for now, I will rely on the tank until after the trip. Once I get the on board system installed I will have the option to just go with it, or to carry the backup CO2 tank for added insurance.
    5. Get with Adventure Trailers about where I am in the production line for my AT Habitat, as well as getting a new 12v fridge freezer now that my wife has given our old one away to some friends. Not mad as it gives me a chance to order up some other goodies as well. I've had my eye on their JK Partner Steel gas stove and the sliding assembly that goes with it for quite some time now.
    6. Order a few more pieces of recovery gear to replace old and worn kit, and fill out the bag a bit more.
    7. "If" my new bumper is here in time get it test fitted and if time allows have it powdercoated and mount my winch into it.
    8. Order and install a matched pair of new batteries into my Colombia Overland dual battery tray and hook them up with the IBS battery management system that I have.
    9. EDIT: Reinstall the Flippac hold down brackets into the new fenders.
    10. EDIT: Install the Prinsu rack that I just got back from powdercoat
    11. EDIT: *MAYBE* Install the MOLLE panel @docloco says should ship soon. I want to powdercoat it as well as cover the side that faces the cab with a large sheet of Velcro loop material so I can re-purpose some of my LBX pouches that I've phased out of my Arcteryx ruck.
I might add more to the list of things look better schedule wise and I'm feeling optimistic.

Good call on having ECGS do the clamshell bushing, the mod isn't too difficult but why do the extra work!

I didn't realize you were in line for an AT habitat, still waiting for the open/close video, but that will be an awesome addition!

Plenty of work ahead it sounds like!

I have a whole lot more planned but if I am honest with myself, these things are realistically all that I can get done before I leave.

Extra work = not cool. I'm losing my mind waiting for that video as well as the complete options list.

It will be interesting to say the least, I'll be in touch the day the money lands. :taco:

I'll try to document as much as possible but I'm going to have help and some/allot of it will be getting done while I'm in the dialysis chair at Wolf-Fab because I trust Austin and know that he will take good care of me.

Looks like it's not the hard drive and it might be the controller which means a drive into the city to drop it off at the genius bar. Might come home with a new laptop while I'm there as I've been plotting on one for awhile anyway.

@G.T. Just let me know. I will then pull the bumper off and cut out the mount and we can work out getting it to you.

Glad to hear it, when you can let me know about the changes that we discussed via PM as I'm still keen to order a different light bar that is narrower if you think it will fit. I'll reply to that PM so that you don't have to wade through the pile to find it.

So Bailey @Baja Designs got proactive and requested a list of the items that I still needed to order from him so that he'd have a quote ready to go and he's already gotten that back to me as well as offered what looks to be an idea solution for the wiring harnesses. Now all I need to do is send him some money and I'm set. Thank you sir.

@G.T. I forgot to comment about the hub assemblies; I have done both of mine and have always gone through TW @nj636. Kevin is a good dude, builds and excellent product, and has awesome customer service. I highly recommend going through him for your hub assy needs

Picking up the boy from school with his extra momma. She loves him more than anything or anyone in the world. Good thing he pretty much feels the same about his dog.

@dblj70 came by the shop today and did some kickass para cord wrap on some handles in the truck. He also made some new handles that attach to the headrest mounts for my boy to help him climb up a little easier.
