We had a pretty bad ice storm recently and I was caught out in it and took the opportunity to use the @Baja Designs work lights and was pleasantly surprised at how well they performed at illuminating the road sides and ditches.

Mod day tomorrow with some St. Louis folks. Looking foreword to getting out of the house again. Hopefully I won't be the cause of this.

hi. reviving an old post here but was wondering something about the vinyl flooring - you mentioned the floor mat tabs/grommets were not installed. do they come with it or is it something you need to order separately? also, now that you've had t in for a while now what are your thoughts... worthwhile mod or no?

    Thanks!

They weren't included but the digital fit weather tech mats don't move around at all so I haven't concerned myself with them. Now that's been a bit with the all weather floor conversion I can say that I genuinely appreciate it a great deal and wish that I had done it sooner. This truck is my baby and I take better care of it than I have with others but at the end of the day, it's a truck so it gets dirty inside and out and the all weather floor has always made it easy to vacuum and sponge it out making it look brand new again.

Today is ending with a sad face. I had gotten the LandCruiser out to drive an it and decided that today was the day that I'd put in the awesome Blue Ridge Overland Gear attic that my TWsecretsanta sent me. I was rocking along starting from the back and working my way forward and had it aligned perfectly in the middle. Got the front left side in and then walked around the back to get to the drivers side and when I opened the door I realized that it won't work because 70 series LandCruisers have the drivers grab handle on the a-pillar.

    IMG_3080.jpg IMG_3081.jpg

Going to call Blue Ridge tomorrow to see about an exchange for something else they offer.

Started searching for a can that would fit into a jerry holder that had a lid that could be removed. Found it just in time to find out that they are no longer in production. FML.

If any of you know how to source these I'd like four of the grey ones with an additional shelf and lid for each.

Big change coming up. Have decided to no longer do dialysis at home and to return to the in-center plan. Having done the home treatments for awhile I now see beyond the sales pitch that they initially gave us about convenience and mobility. This has effectively turned into a full time job with my wife and I providing all of the labor for free and our insurance company being billed the same amount. So, if your loved ones are considering doing home "hemo" dialysis I'd suggest really evaluating their lives before making the switch. I have a room full of medical supplies, a living room dominated by the machine and ridiculously uncomfortable chair, and the task of constantly having to stand on the medical supply people to actually deliver the correct materials, much less actually bring them into my home and stage them as they promised at the beginning of all of this. Then there are the other medical devices all over the house, the constant paperwork, arranging for blood and water samples to be shipped to the labs and more.

If we were both retired and stayed home allot I could easily see this as a viable plan but we are always doing something outside of the home so we end up doing our treatments late in the evening which screws up the rest of our schedule for other non-treatment days. What does this all mean to you? I don't know, just needed to vent as I made the final decision tonight and will be getting the "it will get better" and "just stick with it a bit longer" speeches tomorrow. When home treatments were first presented to me it was sunshine and rainbows which in hindsight, should have set off an alarm in my head. Be that as it may, there it is.

Working with Kimberley to resolve some issues about items that are missing and a few technical points of interest, such as why two different people separately and together cannot figure out how to turn on the electrical system on the trailer even after multiple readings of the owners manual. Hoping it's something that a couple of dumb seppo's - Yanks / septic tank / seppo - just can't see even though it's right in front of their faces. More news to follow.

Good luck with the health related stuff! It will get better, just stick with it a bit longer ;)

Curious to know since I didn't see you expound upon it earlier in the thread, but after the 1" body lift, fiberglass fenders, and the CMC, what was required to clear those 35s? I know you were after minimal additional modifications, I'm wondering if that combination more or less eliminated any fitment (hammering) issues.

I did the body lift because I have plans for one of these in the future and wanted to get it up as high as possible.

    Atlas 4 transfer case.

And your assumptions are correct, I had to flatten the pinch weld but there was no additional hammering for clearance required.

    @G.T.

Did BlueRidge ever get back with you on the landcruiser attic?

Yeah, they are cool with an exchange. I planned to call them today after I figure out what I'd like to exchange for.

Nice! Well that is pretty cool. I really want one of the headrest velcro panels, but they don't really sell velcro backed pouches to use on it.

Look into London Bridge offerings. Their "wolf grey" color is nearly a perfect match for the grey in Tacoma upholstery.

Fingers crossed that this happens so I can drive a brand new version of my dream truck without waiting twenty-five years.

EDIT: Very late update to this post. This group turned out to be a total scam.

Oath. They have a gofundme that they just started but I'd like to know a whole lot more before I invest in a share. If this happens my LandCruiser and Tacoma will be gone. Wife already said that she'd love to have a 76 - modern version of my current LandCruiser - which means that we would most likely sell the 4Runner as well.
