Excited, relieved, and happy today. Picked up the bumper and got it into the shop and setup at the height it will be to at on level ground and everything works perfectly. @Whitecloud hooked me up with a surplus RICO tire carrier and Eric @RelentlessFab took on the challenge of working it into his high clearance bumper design.

I can let the tire down to the ground, unbolt it and roll it to the axle that needs a replacement and then roll the other one back the the lowered carrier and mount it back up. This is exactly what I wanted and had explained to Eric and he delivered a perfect example that does exactly what I want.

Just another reason I really like doing business with TacomaWorld members and this is a perfect example of why. Doing business with people who are as enthusiastic about Tacoma's as you are really makes it fun.

That's awesome and a great idea! Where dis you get the tire carrier from? Eric @RelentlessFab is a great guy and can't wait to order all my armor from him.

Looks awesome @G.T. I'm glad that Eric @RelentlessFab was able to work it in.

It is a RICO carrier that I got from a friend that I worked into my rear bumper design for a while and felt that I wanted to do something different. It just worked out that @G.T. was in need of one and looking for it. They are the tire carriers that come on the Military Humvees so they are weight rated for quite a bit.

That's awesome, I'm sure they're rated for more weight then we would ever have to worry about. Once I do my high clearance rear I might have to get one just to make it easier on me if I ever go to 35s. Luckily Erik and his shop are a 35 minute drive from my house.

The RICO carriers are somewhat hard to come by. If I remember correctly @G.T. was looking for his for a while before I piped up and got him mine. But there are several options to them around and Eric @RelentlessFab might be able to do something with just the measurements and designs from the military one now that he has seen it.

I wonder what that SOB weighs?
That's cool. So do you have to shut that off manually?

Swung by the pay-n-spray this morning before heading out to the lake to play with sailboats for a bit. Water got too big for small boats so we cashed out and yet again the Pyrite Mica impressed me with its subtle color changes.

Looks fantastic!! Can you get me a close up of how Eric did the spindle on the carrier. I'd kinda like to see what he did to it.
