1 7/8" is what they are sized for.

After seeing a bunch of your super cool posts I finally got around to finding your build thread. I read the first post and was about to ask "How did your rear bumper survive so long? I bent mine to hell dragging it over rocks and stuff". But then I saw this ^.

    Very nice build, sub'd

    Thanks

Can't find what size tube they use on the website. Will see if I can measure it when I get home tonight.

Have thought about putting the Hi-Lift up front instead of in the bed.

Too late, sitting on the front seat of the Tacoma here at the house.

Thanks man, make yourself at home.

Bet if you asked in their bumper thread Safin would be able to tell you.

Honestly, I thought it would annoy me up there but it didn't and it really was out of the way. Another big perk is that it was at chest height and not over my head waiting to give me a concussion. Only reason I took them off is that I'm selling the 77 and they don't fit on the Relentless bumper. New pair that I ordered yesterday will however.

About a dozen reasons but the top four are...

    1. Can use the money to speed up my house remodel so I can live on the property where the shop is. I'd get the money back out when I sell the house we are in now.
    2. I didn't actually start out looking for a 77 when I decided I wanted a 70 series so while it's considered the nicest one on the continent, I'm not totally in love with it. Now if my friend starts making trays and canopies full swing I might be convinced to get a single cab ute.
    3. There is a really sweet 47 Troopie with a Trakka camper roof coming up for sale next year and I'd honestly rather have that.
    4. Because I'm kind of a dog chasing squirrels when it comes to cars.

@G.T. 1.75" on steel and 1.50" on Aluminum on the Pelfreybilt Center Hoop Tubes... so guess that would not work then.

Same as Relentless for steel which is why I ordered a new set.

Yes, Fourtreks. Just pick your tube size and if you want the upgraded aluminum wing nuts.

I'm not feeling any sense of concern about it but, it's still mine. That may change later. Thankfully some people who's opinions I trust from the Cruiser world have informed me that if I don't sell it for more than I paid for it then I am an idiot. While I've rightfully been called an idiot before, I am choosing to heed their advice especially after seeing that every other 77 on the market in the States is rusted out and lists for more than what I paid for mine.

Well if it's a substantial financial gain then by all means. Is HH6 gonna be cool with you getting rid of her rig? Hahaha

Yeah, the Handbrake and I have discussed it a bit. She acts like she doesn't care either way and says, "It's your toy, do what you want." But I also know that she wants her fancy new kitchen in the country house and I'd pretty much be just handing the buyers check over to the kitchen contractors.

Yeah, I'd like to have this house be nice because it sits on 12 acres so I want that "wow" factor when we go to sell it. I'll get my money out the back of the sale of the house we are in right now. I just think that she won't have as much interest in driving a 75 ute with a tray back.

If it's that nice a property you'll never lose a dime on doing the kitchen right, since that is where the main WOW factor comes from. Do the kitchen/baths right and the 75 UTE is a trade off.

A friend from Ih8Mud stopped by the shop today to trade me a set of factory LandCruiser wheels for some 24v stuff that I had here. The tires were free but they are shot. Still, she hustles along pretty quick now that she's wearing lighter wheels and smaller tires.

I don't know how I feel about how these wheels look yet. So used to the Huthinsons being on there.
