Nice. Where did you get the ABS OFF switch? I've done the mod and have a toggle by the TPMS switch, but that looks sweet.

The switch really does looks great in there. I can't recall the name of the place but @ChandlerDOOM recomended them to me as they offere allot of custom push button switches for Toyota applications.

Have safety chain provisions welded onto my off-road bumper now so I can legally tow on the interstate.

Replacement front CV flange nuts - 35mm - part number: 90178-28002 $3.99 each at my local Toyota store.

Ordered a half dozen to keep as spares since my new axles didn't come with flange nuts.

I, too, was wondering about that. As you might recall, I had a physical altercation with Entune bluetooth pairing fails and...my OEM touchscreen lost. But so did I. Seriously fed up with FM as my only option, because that it what it was on at the time of the...altercation.

So, have you found the replacement unit satisfactory? I'm looking at the 7201 or 8201. Any other wisdom you can offer? I know I'll need a couple adapter harnesses to make the steering controls work, and the "packages" sold by Crutchfield include a backup camera, which I already have, so I am wondering if that is worth it, or just an extra PITA.

Also, I ran across reviews saygin the Metra fit kit sucks, and to opt for the Scosche. What was your experience? Granted, I have a 2015, and yours has the earlier dash, which I think woudl be a different kit.

Any additional insight is welcome before I shoot a wad on this.

From talking to others with Pioneer units that were installed by other shops I honestly believe my poor experience is largely due to the quality of the install. Mine is coming out soon and will end up in the LandCruiser. Just today I ordered the Sony head unit that Shane recommended to run with his in dash iPad mini setup. I'm worried about trying to install behind the last group so I think I'm going to take it to a shop in the city.

Thanks for the quick reply. That helps. I intend to do mine myself, as it seems it is a fairly simple affair in my case and with the many adapters available to retain OEM controls.

    Soon...

As soon as this is over - five hours - I fuel it up and head home to pack and do a quick systems check and then rest. Tomorrow I depart for Windrock Park in Tennessee again for a Toyota 70 Series LandCruiser meet. Really stoked as I don't think this many 70s have been together in one place here in the States.

I try to nap but there is a new patient here that is out of his mind with dimensia and is screaming. Feel bad for the guy because his family just dumped him into a home and the home gets them on dialysis if they are rowdy so they can be rid of them for half the day. Dudes in a bad place in his life and the folks that are supposed to be his advocates don't give a shit. #mayihaveakidneytransplantplease

Welcome back to East TN, I wanted to stop and introduce myself but our dog had escaped our fence so we had to get home to retrieve him from the neighbors. Anyone need a good dog??

I am, at Barnes in St. Louis.

Will be at the primitive camping overflow at Windrock in the evenings if you want to stop by.

Having a blast here at Windrock. Completely different from when I was here for Labor Day weekend. Heaps of amazing LandCruisers being driven by awesome people. Been better about taking pictures this time and will get them shared but this was in just one part of the camping area.

They are from southwest Missouri and really fun to wheel with.
