    Still butthurt that Maruchan killed the “California Vegetable” cups with the little chili pepper in it. That was my go-to poverty flavored food when saving for car parts back in the day.

    Having fun with UPS this week. Ordered something via Amazon early last week and within hours changed my mind as I found something with more features. Canceled the order via Amazon. Day later I get a “shipping label has been created” email. Send another cancel message in via the system and the seller give me the “oops, we missed it” line.

    I’ve played their game before where they hope you just give up and keep it while they have your money in their account. Refused the package when it arrived. Three shipping days in a row - Thursday off for holiday - the drivers have brought the package back to show it to me so I can refuse it again. That’s right, that same package has been brought to my doorstep four times now. I literally have a sign printed and taped to the front door for them refusing the package.

    From your experience, how many times did you have to refuse something for them to actually believe you?

    Update: I “think” the fifth refusal did it. Asked the driver that’s brought it to me three times if he planned to keep showing me the same refused package all winter. The other guy in the truck came out to find out what we were talking about and I explained that I’d refused the same package four times already. He looks it up on his little computer and sees the refusals and explains that while they’ve correctly entered the refusals into their computer none have ever marked the actual package and initialed it. For the first time the tracking number doesn’t show that it’s out for delivery to me again.
