When I lived in Central America for a few years, the recipe for guac was always:

    Avocado
    Lemon or lime juice
    Salt and sometimes pepper.

Cumin, garlic, salt, pepper, lime, hot sauce, cilantro, green onion, salsa. Serve with Margarita. It's all about the avocado anyway, if that's good then the rest makes it better, if not, forget it.

Oh hell NO!!!! Cilantro has got to be the most vile green leafy thing I’ve ever tasted. Could be the best, most fantastic tacos, burritos, guacamole, etc ever but if one sliver of cilantro has touched it, it’s ruined!

I add a little minced garlic and fine diced onion to mine when I make it. I know it’s good when people from San Diego are raving about it.

But to the poll. I can’t say I’ve ever had cumin in mine before but I’d be willing to give it a chance. For science.

    Thanks for your contribution!

Does cilantro taste like soap to you?

I don’t think I’ve ever correlated it to soap. It has a real off putting flavor to it.

I've heard some people say it tastes like soap to them. There's an idea that those people have a genetic thing that makes it taste like soap.

Some people love it others absolutely despise it.

Julia Child once said if it were in her food she'd pick it out and throw it on the floor.
