Yeah I bought all 4 for like 40 bucks off ebay so I figure they wouldn't be the best. If all goes well with this one, I may sell it and build a better one with Kicker Marine components. Supposedly those are some of the best for decent pricing.

    Got any pictures of yours?

    The almost finished product

The battery tie down...installed first with screws, after everything is installed I will be using epoxy and the screws. As it is now, you can pick up the whole thing from the tie downs so it is pretty sturdy

I don't like crowds of people. It seems like the bigger the crowd, the stupider and more obnoxious everyone becomes. Especially when it involves college kids and beer.

^ That is true and understandable. We just usually stick together as a group (about 15 of us) and have never had any problems --knock on wood--

It does occasionally get crowded when the flow is real low (last year 4th of July) but this year shouldn't be too bad.

Thanks I appreciate it. I would love to go but not sure if my truck would make it through where you guys are going. I have a prerunner with the open differential which makes it even sketchy sometimes to go on the beach here in Corpus, lol.

Yeah I usually float the river near the end of the "season", that way there isn't crowds of people and I can actually talk to my friends rather than listen to all the mariachi music and have to see obese women in bikinis. :puke: And last year we went,it was so low we mustve walked a 1/4 miles of it.

So how did the float go? Last year I hit it on Memorial weekend and it was kinda low and slow. We always stay at the WaterWheel Condos so we can just step out of the river and walk/stagger/crawl right to our room. I'm hoping we can still make it out there this year but havent made plans yet. The low level and slow flow last year was dissapointing. A great report may help motivate me to make the trip.

Didn't see any floating stripper poles but we did have a blast. The river was flowing great...better than it has in years

It is sad that they just had a serious flood in the area. Hopefully they are able to pick things back up quickly.
