    Hi everyone

    Greetings from Ontario Canada
My 2001 3.4 4x4 tacoma is in miles, I recently picked up a Guage cluster of a Canadian truck it's 2004, after the swap I have ABS light flashing and air bag light stays on. I am sure my truck doesn't have abs.
Anyway to fix the abs and air bag light.
    Thank you

Missing a Signal or two your going to need the EWD`s of both vehicles and go wire by wire in the cluster.

    In any case Welcome.

If you don't have ABS then just take out the ABS warning light. Or put a piece of tape over it. Problem solved, lol.

2001 and 2004 are different in Airbag Warning Light display. In 2001 it is straight bulb connected to SRS computer. In 2004 it has some guts that senses the signal from computer (maybe digital TTL level?). That is probably 2004 cluster does not sshow what your 2001 SRS computer is telling. Here is side by side comparison between 2001 and 2004 SRS Warning light circuit

Regarding ABS light both clusters have "ABS Inverter". My guts are telling me that if the ABS input to the cluster is open circuit (no ABS) the "Inverter" will make the light to show "ABS malfunction". In your case when you don't have ABS the old cluster probably did not have that circuit at all. Maybe grounding the ABS input on the cluster will make the "Inverter" to stop acting? Or simple remove the ABS bulb.
