Any Guam Tacoma owners experiencing the engine knock/pinging issue with their 2012+ tacos? I've got a 2013 DCSB TRD Sport 4x4 and have experienced pinging on occasion. It happens when there is a slight load to the engine on days when the temp is over 80 degrees (pretty much every day in Guam) even if I use 91 octane. If I use 87 its much more prevalent.

Has anyone had TSB-0044-14 performed by the Toyota dealer in Guam? If so, how did you approach the dealer with the issue? I want to know if anyone here has done it and if it solved the knocking issue, and how to approach the dealer with a TSB as I'm wanting to do the flash real soon. Thanks!

UPDATE 11-21-2014: Had the reflash of the ECM performed 2 days ago at the local dealer in Guam. So far so good. No noticeable knocking even with 87 octane in the tank. I'll monitor it over the next few fill ups and post back here in case someone from Guam searches this subject on TW.
