Are you going through an appointment? Cause I called and they said there is no update, thus no need for appointment service.

Cause I have noticed the stumble on WOT... pretty dangerous when I want to get onto the road.

 

Im off on Saturday, so I will also go check them. Hopefully they don't give some BS, like we cannot replicate the issue and cannot apply the TSB...

 

They tried to tell me the same thing when I requested the first software update. Matter of fact they tried to tell me there wasn't an update till I showed them the TSB#, then they test drove it and said it wasn't needed. Ended up getting it done after talking with someone else who just told the other dude 'just do it, it's already in the bay for the 5k service and the customer wants it' or something along those lines.

I get they're busy, but a software update doesn't seem like it's a big deal to me compared to some of the other complaints I've heard about.

 

Another issue that I had, was not having entune premium and Qi charging on TRD models. I went to them and they gave me some BS that it is an option on higher models... One, it is suppose to be standard. Two, is my TRD not classified as a higher end model?
Sales said it was only on the limited... Their limited on the lot, did not even have it.
Told me to go to parts, and they told me it will 3 grand... WTF 1k more and I could optioned from 2wd to a 4x4 truck. Told why do I have to pay for a standard feature that is missing, and they just kept tellIng to go around their whole facility.
Eventually just gave up.

Apparently I was not the only one too.

 

Unfortunately, they just happen to be the worst dealership on Guam.

 

According to Toyota, from the TRD Sport 2WD and above, it is suppose to be the 7in Entune HU and Qi Charger.

 

The brochure even states it.


Does not necessarily have to be 4x4, just TRD Sport and above.

I honestly like the Entune Plus, cause physical buttons. But the idea of paying for missing standards kind of rubs me the wrong way.

I understand that the navigation does not work here. However the 7in unit pushes out more power to the speakers. Giving the mediocre paper speakers a bit more quality, but also means you would have more flexibility when upgrading the speakers.

For Qi Charging, would like to have it, cause my phone is capable. Heard it is shitty though lol.

 

If that's the case, no longer have an idea on what to do.
I guess just suck it up. Buy once cry once...

 

Guessing Payless's paper bags would punch out better sound than a Tacoma's.
The Kicker Tweeters makes a whole world difference, in terms of audio fidelity.

I woukd raid their free refreshments.

 

But 8 hours to do an ECM update... And the possible off chance of them not updating it, cause "We see no problem with it"
