Love my tacoma but a wheel bearing went out at 78,000 then a spiral cable at 80,000.Truck never let me down. My brother told me about a generation one tundra v8.
550,000 miles in orange groves working hard
and only changed one fuel injector. So I got a lemon.Man I love my tacoma! Hard to believe any vehical on and off road could last 550,000 miles.
    Only TOYOTA !

    Wheel bearing, common problem.

There is a recall on the spiral cable. FYI

A good friend has a '97 Dodge diesel 3/4-ton pick up (farm truck) with over 600,000 on the clock. It looks like it was shot at and missed but shit at and hit.....Still on the job though.

All the problems I had were self created, big tires, body lift and I did the install.I'm not complaining best vehical I have owned.Friend has an old ram hemi at 400,000 but 550,000 on gas not bad.

Don't worry about others. When they pay for your parts and labor they can have an opinion on what you should and shouldn't install.

How is this a lemon if you admit to creating the problems? :p

Lots of people have wheel bearing issues. @BamaToy1997 sells some awesome wheel bearings. Contact him if they got again.

I'm running 33 tires and gained mileage.Raised gear ratio on back roads getting 20.to 20.8 trying to get 21 to 22mpg.Running 50 psi helps a lot.

Raising the psi helps mpg b/c you don't lose as much power in tire flex. But the downside is the tire won't track over objects as well and there is a greater chance of a puncture. But that's really good milage. How's it calculated?
