Here is my current stock 2011 Taco TRD. I've been checking out TW all summer and have been slowly developing an interest in pursuing mods and becoming a little more mechanically inclined in the auto world. Naturally not ever having put any money into my truck comes questions and I've tried answering most by looking at the forum stickies/searching the forums. Before I get started, here is some information. Currently my truck is my commuter about 4 days a week on pavement and the other 3 days are spent on trails near the Payette River in Southern ID, coming up on my 60k mile mark. I've never done any "extreme" off roading but would be interested maybe down the road. My goal is to have a smoother ride both on the road and in mild to intermediate back country while trying to stay true to factory "drive", i.e. throwing off speedometer, etc. As well as to have an appealing looking truck.

My main question with the below upgrades in mind, is everything compatible? Which I'm 99% sure everything is, but like I said, new to this and learning. Wondering if I'm missing things that I should be taking in consideration.

Possible dumb question. I understand the BOSS kit is adjustable from 0-3", my desired first lift was 2in. So I could change that down the road if I ever wanted to go to 3" ?

Based on the forums, the OME Dakar Leaf Pack comes highly regarded. With my intended use, would I be wasting money going with that option?

Thanks in advance and I do apologize if I missed any of these questions somewhere in the forum, I know you guys get a lot of duplicate posts. Looking forward to hearing some responses.

This years plans, would eventually like to get Pelfreybilt or Brute Force bumpers and want to make sure I have the appropriate suspension to adjust with the added weight.

Undecided on whether to go 265/75/16 or 265/70/17, still need to read up on the benefits, if any gained. Any advice is welcomed.

What is your overall goal? Do you have a budget in mind?

Here is our customers truck with our Chase Kit ( performance leveling kit ), 16" Method Double Standards and 285/75/16 Falken Wildpeak AT3

As far as my goal goes, I'd like to improve the overall ride and be able to get into a little rougher country. I don't have any interest in rock crawling. In between of a nice daily driver with the option of going off roading.

Correct me if I'm wrong but one you get up to 285's isn't trimming necessary? As well as sacrificing a good amount of gas mileage? Certainly cool looking though!

Budget is flexible but roughly 2k.

Yes, the 285 do rub but you do have to do a little trimming. The customer wanted to go to that size.

    I would recommend a 265 or 275 max with a leveling kit.

If you will be going off roading and still want a nice daily driver, I would recommend a nice set of Coilovers but that will eliminate about 1/2 to 3/4 of your budget right there!

A nice happy medium would be some Bilstein 5100's all the way around with some OME coils up front.

If you are looking for some King Coilovers, I can get you a great price!

If you are looking for some Bilstein, contact @HeadStrong Off-Road

For armor (bumpers, skids, sliders), Pelfreybilt is pretty hard to beat. Their price points are a little above most, but their product and customer support are outstanding!
