Glad to hear that. I will be installing the full set of speakers and soundproofing when spring hits.

I just made a temporary connection from the stock tweeters to my new tweeters and listened. Then swapped the positive/neg wires and listened again. Couldn't really tell any difference.. Once everything was mounted and wired, I played some Hal Ketchum loudly to see how it sounded on the first door. Was great. Did the other door, same routine, then put the door panels on and buttoned it all up. I am 65 (HTF that happened is beyond me..), retired teacher/coach, semi handy with things. I went very slowly and carefully because when I did this stuff in my youth, panels had screws, no airbags, vent windows, 290 AC and I was ahead of the curve with my cassette tapes..Try finding some decent cassettes in E Texas in 1973...so I made my own by using a microphone placed in front of a speaker and A small cassette recorder we had..Ahhh, good times..

y'all should man up and learn to solder :)

subaru kicker tweeters w/ soldered tacoma harness going to female spades (red/black +/- line up as indicated just fine)

kicker KS 6x9's w/ solder spliced metra harness and metra adapter plate. i did this because the KS series comes with an external crossover that has bare wire leads. open box special $100 from my local best buy lol

stock harness connections, stock mount points, stock electrical tape, stock everything on the truck. no modifications.

sounds awesome w/ the stock entune head unit and bluetooth from my phone. everything is much clearer and louder, cymbals and bass and drums are actually distinct and audible individually now instead of being one giant mush of treble and bass. also... am i crazy or did entune previously only go to 50 volume level? mine goes to 60 now...

Got a question for everyone on here I've been long overdue for upgrade on the speakers in my truck looked at doing jl audio and the ones I originally was going to go with they discontinued so that threw that out the door for me I recently have looked into focal heard they have some nice options curious on the tweeter upgrade is this specific to 2nd gens or 3rd gens only? And what does everyone recommend for door speaker upgrades
