Red trails are easy, can get around the park on them.

Ikr, killer bare bones project. Would love to to have the resources to take on a project like that.

Why would you need to swap the ecm? Just curious. The 2nd gen crowd gets away without an ecm swap. I would think it's easier with a 1st gen since there is already trucks with manual hubs, no add, a manual shift tcase, etc

Sorry, not ecm. ECTS system won't work out of 2003 up.
Ecm swap might be needed if you say get a t4r doner.

I think I would probably be more inclined to find a nice 2002 Tacoma 4x4 for around $10k and just swap all my suspension to it and put mine back to stock for a dd the rest of it's life.

    But........
I now already have a 4x4 and don't intend to mod it outside of maybe a 2in lift and 35's, I'm not really seeing much of a chance on buying another 4x4.

Hoping for a bit of mud at Gulches this weekend! I don’t want to be rolling out just dusty! Escpecially if we’re rolling in/out with heepies!

Idk about mud but I'd like to see it atleast damp so I can run with the top down.
So far its only partly cloudy and 10%.

Tooob Dawrz are on my list and I don't care if it gets dusty. I keep the windows down for the most part wheeling anyways. Especially the DS since the track is broken and the window like to fall off it offroading now.

12% chance on Saturday. So likely no mud.
