I have the same mentality off road like I do mtn biking or bmx'ing or skateboarding or snowboarding.
The faster you go the better the experience. Plus you don't have time to think about crashing.

I'm mostly certain that I'm in for this trip. Hope my short bus makes it without any damage.

    Installing my icons this weekend.

I won't have them. I am just going to take the bracket off to get some more wiggle room I think.

Just source a longer bolt and a bunch of washers or tubing to make a spacer and bolt it back on something to space it ~1" off the diff.

Do we have a decent head count?
    Camping?

I want to pickup a cheap CB to use with the group, anyone have any suggestions?

Nothing fancy, just needs to be able to talk to everyone else nearby.

Wait what people talk on CBs and ham radios :anonymous:
Try a cheap handheld if you'd like but my guess is they aren't that great even in close range.
Not sure about camping I'll just be there for the day on Sunday may come down sat night and crash at Eric's but that is still up in the air as I got to do something with the dog.

I am working that weekend. I have a handheld cobra. I bought the extending antenna and also have an external magnet mount I use.
Don’t have to spend much money on one. Need to take my HAM test soon, dragging my feet on that one!

Is a radio even something that our group typically uses? I know last Chestnut Mt Rin we were having issues and they didn't even really work all that great.

I just like being in the loop.

That's because people just slap them in, antennas in bad spots and can't get decent signal out/in, bad grounds, cut wires, noisy power taps, etc..
