Sliders to me seem like the bare minimum for armor, then skids. In my case I got the rear bumper after sliders just because I kept bashing out tail lights and hammering my rear bumper on stuff. Skids after the rear bumper, and currently waiting for a front bumper.

Definitely hit up @EddyRRT for your armor. Close enough for local pickup in Laurens, SC from Augusta, good prices, and his stuff is super stout.

Just come. Even the harder trails looking at the map and some youtube videos there are some bypasses. Also like Eric said you can always ride.

Wife was talking about getting back up to URE soon, and I wouldn't mind having an annual pass there. Would encourage me to make that 3 hour drive.

I'd rather protect the things that make the truck go instead of the body. Scars are always a good conversation piece yet having a trans die or denting your oil pan into the pickup causing low oil pressure are not good things. Skids, sliders, bumpers IMO. Protect the organs of the truck not the skin.

Yeah, I had been just buying it as I need it. Wheel, break something, buy something to protect that something. IFS skid was the first thing I bought to be proactive. Still need to get the other skids, too, but after front bumper.

Skids are like 380 bucks for the other 2 get them before you get the bumper

I didn't realize the skids are so wallet friendly. Not a bad price at all.

    The bumpers though. :goingcrazy:

    Told you!!!

    SOS IFS 230
    Mid 150
    T-case 250

Plus no delivery charge you can pick them up. Those are non powdercoated prices. I'd just get a can of Rustoleum rusty metal primer put a few coats on then get whatever paint you want and paint them.

    Still contemplating this.
Don't really want any body damage but my 1st gen seems to sit a little higher than some 2nd gens that ive seen.

Anyone want to volunteer to be the tug/spotter truck in front of me?

I'll already have mine out and wrapped around the front bumper for minimal delay time. Though I honestly don't think I'm going to have any issues.

My only concern is cab damage.

:notsure: I'm open to any ideas. The only other place to wheel around here is at a private club that I know of.

2 hours min. The Gulches website says they got rain last night, but that they will be open, just not to wear street tires, so I am hopeful they will be open.
