Gulp! DMV present for 2018

I thought my 04 was bad at ~$230 in Los Angeles county. Damn

 

I guessing mine is going to be over $600 for that 1st I get here in AZ.

 

My 1st yr renewal in AZ for my '17 Sport was $462

 

Ouch! California hits you with hefty fees for everything.
Cost $40 to renew my tag here in Tennessee. We don’t pay vehicle taxes but this is a trend in a lot of states.

 

That’s exactly what mine was.
Ridiculous.

Maybe not as bad as CA but not good. My July annual excise tax comes this month. I'll post my annual bill for the privilege to drive

 

Mine was "Only" $156 this year. It does have a salvage title Still a bit more than the $68 I was paying.

 

That was the most expensive sticker I ever bought!

Oh and last year when I moved here I had to pay the tax difference. It was 2400ish to register. Missed the cut off by three weeks!

 

Yep. In Arizona registration fees are calculated like this, so it goes down every year, but the first 5 are killers:

"Note that the value of your vehicle is calculated as 60% of the original manufacturer's retail price, and that total will be lowered by 16.25% at every registration renewal. For each $100 of the vehicle's value, you will be assessed: New vehicles: $2.80. Used vehicles: $2.89."

 

Colorado is awful. Over $800 to register my pro.
