Well the twisted kinda sucked for when you didn't have body armor on and snagged up a little bit more whereas the flat or box slid nicely. Downside to the box was it would ride up over the shoulder strap of your body armor. Liked the twist though more, slight "springiness" to it.

And LOL at your "cranking out republicans"

Haha I thought it was funny.;)
Well I guess I'd go with the flat. Where would I start after I find some flat 550 cord?

....and that's the part I'd have to talk to my boy about. Can't really remember the exact way to start em except you need a two long ass pieces IIRC and at the middles, you make two loops then start braiding. I think you do 10 arm lengths, fingertip to fingertip for the long pieces.

^Yep. I can't justify 45 bucks for a pack of cord that costs 7 and a caribeaner that costs 10, though

well i agree...but im currently unable to find a how-to on a single point sling...so i linked to that

ive made several survival bracelets myself and my next project will be a collar for the hound...but ive just been too busy with work

paracord is pretty much the shit...i use it for everything i think...my boots are even laced with it and i keep 100ft or so in my patrol car all the time in my survival bag

at first i was going to say no, but i decided to google m44 to see what you were talking about, and then i have to say, yes.

its a mosin nagant 7.62 x 54R, carbine. the russian wood stock was removed and a generic american wood stock put on. my granddad brought it home from Korea, it was a 1946,

but great guess! i've never heard of it called a m44.

instructables.com has a TON of different things you can make out of paracord. The twisty one is called a barrel. Pretty simple. The hippies use those knots to make neklaces out of hemp. If you look around there a bit you should be able to find all the info you need. Doesn't have to be specific instructions for a single point sling. Usually it is about 10-12 inches per inch of finished length.
