Anyone recommend a pistol safe that will slide under the seats of your Tacoma. I have a TRD Pro. Currently have a snap safe. Looking for somewhere to put a handgun securely and legally when I can't carry into a prohibited place. Vaultek measurements seem to tall. Thanks. Not looking for console safe.

Consult local authorities, including where you might drive through. Many require locked storage of gun separate from ammunition, and completely out of reach of driver (or anyone?). This forum has more people knowing guns: https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/guns-hunting.24/

I had the same issue when I was looking for a pistol safe for my truck. After trying a couple of options, I ended up going with a slim, compact model that I was able to buy safe online. It’s designed to fit under the seat of most trucks, including mine, and it's made with USA made safes, so I know it’s solid. I’ve been really happy with the quick access and the peace of mind knowing my handgun is locked up securely when I can’t carry.

Solid rule to live by but occasionally due to emergencies or unplanned stops the car is the option you end up with.

OP there isn't much space under the seat but maybe under or behind the rear passenger seats in the storage bins? It's less convenient but an option.

Just conceal it. Unless it's a government building it's coming with me, regardless what the sign says.
