We have a Liberty Franklin gun safe.

You don't want to go cheap on lockable storage.

In the truck? I have a Console Vault for handguns.

You want the heaviest, most expensive safe you can afford. Gun safes are not as safe as you might think, and are actually pretty easy to steal. I have easily loaded and unloaded 500-700lb safes by myself and are easy to move inside the home. Most of the safes on the market are not even rated to last 15 minutes with hardened tools and a person who knows how to use them. They will keep you safe from a quick smash and grab, but not from anyone who specifically goes to your house to steal guns. At the very least make sure your safe is bolted down to the floor or wall or both.

If you can afford it, a safe like this is the way to go: http://www.amsecusa.com/gun-safes/hs-series/ or http://www.graffundersafes.com/products/safes-weapon.html
