Glocks arent illegal in CA. Glock hasnt paid CA to register the gen4 glock here so you cannot buy them here at a dealer but you can buy them private or if you already had it like I did you can bring it. There are some random rules here but basically its backwards because those who buy legally are punished and those who dont care about laws still get what ever they want.

Where in California can you legally carry a loaded handgun in your vehicle? When I lived there you pretty much needed an act of Congress to get a CCW.

Sorry not loaded* normally you have to separate the ammo and firearm. this way I dont have to carry it locked through the barrel.

Say what? You have to carry ammo and gun separately AND have a lock through the barrel?

Didn't California pass a law at the beginning of this year making it necessary for a background check to be performed to be eligible to buy ammo?

CA doesnt let you put it in the glove.. Youre not supposed to put it in the center console either but with a safe I doubt if anything happened while I was working in CA they would give me a hard time. When I am home in AZ we have some pretty solid gun laws and its basically an extension of your person, so I think you can do what ever in the car.

Correct me if I am wrong and please check for yourself, but a lock through the barrel is not legal. Also your center console is not legal. True the ammo must be separate from the gun, but the gun must be in a locked container.

Some counties are Shall Issue. After you pay over $300 you can legally carry a concealed firearm. I drive though san fransisco and laugh. They don't recognize any "CCW Permits" and I don't recognize their infringing laws.

Next year 2018. You must purchase a permit to be added to an "approved list" of people eligible to purchase ammo. Lawmakers are going around the constitution by targeting everything associated with the firearm like parts and ammo. If Gavin Newsome is elected governor there are going to be a lot of Outlaws in CA.

From my understanding if you don't have a CCW, the ammo and firearm must me stored separately when transporting. The firearm must either be in a locked container or in the trunk and the ammo can be on your passenger seat.

Don't get caught in a minor traffic stop then.
Your recognition is of no consequence to the interpreted law... and I'm a 2A supporter, however you will lose all your weapons and rights in a court with that attitude.
Bad advice for his mainly juvenile forum.

A minor traffic stop doesn't automatically give them reason alone to search your vehicle but otherwise I Agree with what you're saying

That's the problem now a days. Police prey on people who don't know their rights.

Sorry to get political ya'll! Just fired up when I think about how this state is being run into the ground by progressives.

Stay safe my fellow Japanese Truck Enthusiast Americans!

Being a law enforcement officer myself, I highly disagree with your statement of "police prey on people who don't know their rights." I cannot speak for all LEO's but I can say without a doubt 99.9% of us don't "prey" on anyone.
As for CA laws for concealed carry/firearms in vehicles, I have no clue. As for SC law, I feel I am very well versed.

With all the random laws out there, this is a safe and reasonable way to transport the firearm. I think the OC is chill about CCW but I dont live there so you have to be a resident. Your CCW is good state wide but some cities have specific laws.. its hard to know
