I have a set of FJ Gunmetal wheels on the way fro my BSP DC. I thought about painting the badges to match the wheels. I have had a tough time locating the gray I want. Krylon Fusion has nothing. I prefer a Satin finish.

    Thanks

It is on here somewhere that a guy on ebay sells spray cans of toyota oem colors.
I am going to check that out when it gets closer to spring...my rims are getting put on til the salt leaves ....

Most auto paint shops will mix you rattle cans based on the manufacturers color code. I have one and it's even cheaper than the ebay guy there. Call around town and see if you can find a store like that.

Duplicolor has a wheel paint forgot what color they call it but its pretty nice .It almost matches the color of the 2010 sport grill which is pretty much gunmetal gray .Painted my rims with it.

Did you end up painting the emblems? I am thinking of doing the same thing on my silver DCLB and would love to see any pics. Thanks! :)

I just purchased a 2010 Access Cab 2.7L M and am in the process of doing some minor mods. It is Black Sand Pearl and I am thinking about spray painting the rims a gun metal gray (just picked up some Duplicolor Toyota Grey), along with all the tags. I am also going to be doing the BHLM to match the blacked out look. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts/pictures of a BSP Taco with Gunmetal gray rims and tags.

PS - I'm new to this and am working on the lingo...

Rustolium has a good hammered spray paint that looks good - many have used it.

Thanks. I was questioning the Duplicolor that I bought at lunch and will take a look around for the Rustolium Hammered Gray!

This is Rust-oleum high performance wheel paint in "graphite" from Auto Zone on wheels & badges. The decals are cut vinyl in a dark gray that matches the tone of the paint perfectly, but isn't metallic. I'm taking these badges off, cleaning them and applying new 3M double stick tape. I've got a duplicate set of these gray decals brand new as well. I'll be selling the complete set soon, decals & badges including front oval badge (I'm returning to stock). Easy mod for you - buy, peel & stick. And keep your chrome intact for when you're ready to go back to stock yourself.

OP, I can't tell you how closely this paint matches the Anthracite FJ rims, but it looks like its gonna be pretty freaking close. I can tell you that the quality of the metallic flec in that rustoleum paint matches the BSP flec very, very well.

I haven't checked this thread in a while. I appreciate all the feedback. I have since debadged my BSP and love the look. I have a new set of the Tacoma emblems that are chrome. I was thinking about shooting them with that graphite and doing just the doors. Just finished my Satoshi also, and was going to spray the toyota emblem for the grill.

I will keep you all posted.
