If I were to argue that it was a Human right, then i'd have to hear from those knuckleheads who claim some humans don't have the right to own guns, such as the English...but I understand where you're coming from.

^^ its the CT or Compact Tactical version so it's a pretty decent size for CCW. 8 round single stack mag should say it all.

Haven't you heard about Austin, TX? It's a free loving city of democratic utopia. Wouldn't anything bad ever happen there....

Guns are amazing pieces of machinery that have the completely wrong public perception. I am not currently in the financial position to prioritize getting a pistol but I have two shotguns within 10 feet of my bed with shells in a hidden location. Personal protection may not be what they are designed for but it feels nice knowing I can keep my loved ones and property safe if I ever had to. I hope to god I will never have to.

Best way to describe its handling characteristics is it shoots like a 9mm compact and holds enough ammo for cover fire if need be. Not to mention shoots better than a Para.

I find I'm carrying a lot less often here than I was in Vegas, just because I don't feel the need as much. BUT... I know that's the wrong way to work it. Maybe it's because so many do carry herre, or maybe I don't know (or seek out) the seedier parts of town..? Gonna have to work on my mindset.

And nothing bad ever happens here unless you count the guy driving an airplane into a building.

Always changing...but there is no place like home.
    Vehicle:
2012 Nautical Blue DCLB TRD Sport
Black tube steps, Skid plate, Bilstein 6112's front and 5160's rear, Bakflip F1 folding cover, EGR raingaurds, All weather floor mats, AFE pro dry filter, BFG 265 70 R 17 KO2's.
I own a Ruger .380 LCP for conceal carry and a S&W .357 for home protection. Gonna get a 8 round 12 gauge Mossberg shotgun for home protection as well. I have an old 1886 Ithica side by side that my grandpa gave me, a .22 rifle and a 30-30 rifle as well for fun.

My wife didn't like the guns either, it was to the point of her hating to even speak of them. I told her she must go with me one time to understand how they work in case she has to use them while i'm deployed. I had a morning of safety talking about how to handle the guns, load, unload and what not to point the guns at (thats anything you don't want to destroy and/or kill) weather loaded or not. She thought I was treating her like a child but it is very important.

After we went shooting, she shot like an expert with the .22, didn't like the others so much but she had a great time and her opinion of them changed in one afternoon as well as her comfort level and knowledge.

I carry a gun for the same reason I wear a seatbelt, you just never know. I live in Omaha NE where the big mall shooting back in 2007 was and eight people were murdered at the westroads mall, and Omaha has low crime and is a pretty nice place. Again, you never know.

If someone breaks into your house, they are not asking for a cup of sugar. With a shotgun, you can load rock salt rounds which will hurt like hell but not go threw the drywall, behind that you can have buckshot if the intruder isn't scared yet. This will blow him in half at close range and just piss him off if he is farther away. Behind the buckshot you can use slugs, this means game over. If it comes to that, he was asking for it! Atleast with the rocksalt fist you don't have to be "afraid" to pull the trigger or cause much damage to your house. Just pull it, if he stays he better be prepared for whats to come.
