    I carry for several reasons.
    1-because I can
2- to protect my wife being raped
3- to prevent my daughter from being kidnapped
4-cops are too expensive to rent.

Can't decide between the Kel Tec 380 or the Ruger LCP. It's gonna be one or the other,,decisions, decisions.

Neither, get a Smith and Wesson Bodyguard .380. In my opinion, it's a much nicer carry gun than the ruger or the keltec

Too bulky. Did hold and back pocket all 3 and the Kel Tec was the winner so far.

I had a Ruger LCP...swapped for a S&W Bodyguard...just traded it away for another LCP

    :homer:

All in all the Bodyguard was the most refined between that, ruger, and keltec...but...i dunno...i missed my LCP...it fits easier in my pockets...it doesnt have a laser...and from the shooting ive done...seems to be more reliable as far as feeding goes

i used to tout the bodyguard over the LCP but the longer i didnt have my LCP the more i wanted it back

I found myself not carrying the bodyguard more and more

I've got several long guns for hunting, plinking, etc. I have a 9mm for protection.

The one time I had to pull it, a young kid, (appeared to be about 16/17) thought he was going to take my truck. Ran up and opened the door to pull me out, but freaked out and ran when I put my pistol in his chest.

Glad it didn't go any further than that, because at the time, I was in my hometown in Mississippi...I'm white, and he was black. You guys would've been seeing me on the news these days right alongside that other case that's in the news these days.

I'll :stirthepot: a bit on this comment, hoping in fact that he's being sarcastic.

Why do I carry a gun for protection ? Easy..the police are more reactive than proactive. I can call and in the time it takes them to get there I may be dead without the ability to defend myself. At home,at the store, walking down the street. This in no way should be taken as a slam on the police. They're few in number and in alot of places spread too thin. Will they catch my killer ? In time perhaps. I would rather not be killed. If you talk to most people that carry, they'll tell you that carrying isn't to feel tough or feel " like a real man ".It isn't always comfortable, easy or convenient. It IS a responsibility that a person takes on to be able to defend themselves, their family, their home, even their neighbors and every day people around them.

I own guns for fun too. Hell...I'm a threat to the plastic bottle population in my area,as well as the paper silhouette numbers ! They're fun if given the proper respect and handling practices.

    ok... over !

And while I'm thinking about it..I'll add a couple sites that come in handy for anyone who carries and travels.

Almost all of my weapons are postured for a offensive role.

I'm not going to use a Krinkov for home defense.
