I'm a little freaked out. I sent in a form 4 a few weeks ago, the USPS can't figure out where the certified letter went, the money order has been cashed and the ATF can't tell me if they even recieved it.

One of my co-trustees had to send his paperwork in THREE times and the check twice (cashed only once) before getting his stamp. Total time was like 500 days.

The USPS is a disaster right now between admin changes, election ballots, etc and the ATF can barely find their car keys on a good day (VT classmate worked with them for a bit and had horror stories). Those forces combined are never a winning success.

Yeah I'm trying to get a confirmation of where and by who the money order was cashed. Hopefully it was in portland. That would at least tell me if it got to them.

It has a PRV valve. Looks like the diaphram went out on it since no matter how far in either direction I screw the adjuster, it doesnt change.

    Ugh... :spending:

I’m on my 4th PRV valve in almost 15 years. Last one was on Memorial Day. That sucked.

I have a feelijg this has been bad for a while based on symptoms. I just have the data to back it up now. Calling a plumber on Monday and Ill get it sorted.

Who'd you have do yours? I have no idea what it'll cost to replace either and Im kinda afraid to know.

The first two times was a plumber that did it as a side job. The third time was the water softener tech, this one wasn’t cool. The last time I will have to look up. It was Memorial Day, so options were limited. I’ll check Quicken tomorrow and report back.

I had do mine a couple years ago, they did a great job - I’ll try to dig up the info on who did it. I had them install a ball valve for the shutoff while they were in there.

Beehive Plumbing is who used. It took plumber all of the guy all of 10 to 15 minutes. They made a killing of this installation. I’m thinking about starting a company that does nothing but PRV valves and water heaters.

He had a Milwaukee tubing cutter and some type of a (I think) Milwaukee compression tool that crushed the copper fitting onto the copper pipe. Apparently, soldering is a thing is the past.

Back in action! Plumber friend of a friend came by and got me squared away for a fair price, esp on a Sunday.

Turns out when your water pressure is correct, all the noise in the pipes goes away!

I will bet it will need to be replaced with in 3 to 5 years. I have come to believe company's will not make anything that lasts longer, if it does you got lucky or don't use it regularly. Every fixture I have replaced with a home depot part, electrical or plumbing has all failed with in that window.
