Headed to the BOR race in Vernal this weekend! Stoked for the start of racing season to kick off, and stoked to see @P.Blackley finish a race this time!

We're gonna take this one easy as we already have enough work to do on the car before the next race and we dont need to add extra. Also @Gunshot-6A we may need you help with fueling the car in the pits.

OK. I was prob gonna get hitched with recovery duty, but if you need help in the pits, I'll see if I can catch an assignment in the pits.

Either way works, I know were doing recovery for the second race and I think all the required volunteer spots got filled.

Radon test came back under remediation level, so that doesn't have to get negotiated! :yay: Some paperwork to be filled out and an appraisal to be done, and we are off to closing with a big pile of money #bittersweet.

This shit may actually be happening this time.

Saw a sad sad sight today. :(

Brand new ford raptor with paper plates

    upload_2019-5-15_16-21-38.jpg

Pulling a brand new Air Centurion. Like a 100 G boat.

    upload_2019-5-15_16-21-19.jpg

Parked in front of a divorce mediation office.

If the guy is smart, he keeps the raptor and lets her have the boat. We all know what kinda costs boats have.

    Outstanding!

Just out of curiosity, are you still going forward with the expedition in June?

Looks like a solid crew...kind of scary how similar the guy on the left looks to me.

No, work promotion killed that one off sadly. Might try again next summer, but taking nearly a month off incommunicado as a one man department is pretty unheard of.

I'm thinking I might try to sneak down to Baja sometime this winter though.

Honestly, I'm kinda glad it fell through because it freed up a lot of cash for this house buying adventure. Closing costs are friggin ridiculous!

Not bad for my homie Eric just posting a meetup in the open on one of our FB bike groups. Solid riders and even the new guys kept up pretty well.

In other news, clipless is the shit, and I love it. Feels weird being so solidly connected to the bike, and that will take some getting used to. But my strava times don't lie. That extra efficiency gained me like a 1-1.5 mph gain on a commonly ridden loop for me. Love the extra stickiness to the pedals on the techy climbs. That was the biggest benefit for me.

I hear you on that...when I used to commute to work on my road bike on the east coast I always used clips cause of that extra HP you get from the upstrokes of the pedals by being clipped in. Clips def have their advantages for the uphill stuffs, but when its all descending I keep it real like Sam Hill meng.

My DH bike still has flats. Prob will stay that way too.

But I can get some sick tailwhips now with that extra clipless control.

    @Coot83

If you were gonna add a +3.5 or +4.5 setup to a tacoma/tundra, what brands should I look at? TC and Camburg look like solid options, and Solo looks good for a +4.5, but after @SoCalTacoTruck 's calamity with their +2 IDK if that is a headache I wanna deal with.
