I have the older firmware. I don't know if the newer one is still compatible. I imagine it should be.

Thanks, I'll have to tinker with this. All the APRS data without the map is a little underwhelming and not so easy to sort through.

I thought that was "parkway" mode for luxurious cruising in the high rent district. :notsure:

Also, the 'Windy" weather app is the tits. Gives you essentially all the METAR data you could ask for in one spot, and even shows you the forecast of the different weather models.

It also makes sense due to the fact my driver side isn't nearly as bad and doesn't rub.

What is everyone using to get all this data?

Essentially this is all the data, turned to graphic form, your local NOAA office gets. Data comes from ground nodes, certain weather satellites, etc.

Admittedly, like 99% of this app is superfluous weather nerd stuff, but "superfluous data" is sorta my jam

Which is honestly good enough. Windy was created for kiters who really need a good model for what the wind and the waves are doing in a given area, but not so concerned about the rest of the weather, so Windy is primarily focused on that data (default setting) and then added the rest on hot buttons to suit everyone else.

I'm back to the GX idea lately, and it's hard to shake. The only point of contention is that using @Shmellmopwho's measurements, I couldn't fit it in my garage with a tent mounted. That's a major bummer esp in the snowy months. That and having a car payment again would be a drag.

I like my house! Your labor of renovating the header to accomodate will be your first year's rent.

Using your 74 inch measurement, the only option for a stay on roof tent is that new GFC one they just released at ~6 inches, or FSR at 7.1. My down the street neighbor has a '13, and it took me until yesterday to realize why I only see his big CVT tent on when he parks in the driveway...
