I fought the urge for 6 months, but there aren't too many lifted Tacomas around here and I have seen a couple I just really like. I feel with my lift, it's quite moderate and shouldn't effect ride quality too much. Let's just see if this satisfies my urge lol :D

Well I rolled the new tires and wheels up to the truck to see what it might look like. Still waiting for the lift to come in, should be in by the 4th

what's the total height you gained with that setup? i'm looking for something in the 2" range so i can still fit in my garage. also, any problems with alignment with the factory UCAs?

edit - moar questions: which wheeler's 1.5" AAL did you get? single leaf, 3-leaf progressive, or 3-leaf progressive heavy duty? and did you already have the rear leaf TSB done?

It was right at 2", I don't have a heavy duty bumper or any accessories on my front end so the 884s worked perfectly. I ordered a 1/4" polyurethane spacer just in case I wanted to give myself a little more lift down the road. As for the AAL, I went with the single leaf. I did not have the TSB already done neither.

It aligned pretty good, I think it could use another alignment from a different shop with someone who deals with lifted trucks more often. But nothing too bad, I wouldn't blame the lift on the alignment concern, this is a very mild lift and 90% of guys who go with this setup don't have any issues whatsoever with re-alignment.

No problem man. It really wasn't that expensive considering what I got for the money. I'd highly recommend this setup to anyone. After looking at it for 2 days now, I do think I should've added a 1/4" top plate spacer to completely level it out but I doubt that would've made a huge difference. All in all, it rides better an I've already gotten so many compliments too.

Glad I found your thread, I have a 2011 4x4 DCSB that I was wanting either 2"-2.5" in the front and I like OME. I've been looking for info on which set up will give what amount of lift. I'm trying to avoid the full 3", thanks.

Glad I could help ya out with my build thread, I wouldn't have gone the full 3" at all now that I have my setup. the extra .5" ain't worth the hassle and extra money!

Beautiful truck. You think your tires would have fit without the lift?

Yes, but would have had some rubbing I'm sure. Maybe not as much rubbing with stock wheels, but I do rub at full lock very slightly.

I would say give yourself a couple inches of front lift just to be safe instead of taking the chance of rubbing. As for the grille, I bought it off a dealership on eBay. It's a stock grille of a 2011 Tacoma Sport
