Posting some images of my newly gusseted spindles. I am in the middle of welding in a set of Dirt King Double Shear Upper Control Arm gussets and wil be moving on to Total Chaos Lower Control Arm Alignment gussets later on.
The truck is a 2013 Access Cab 2.7l 4x4 5 speed with Fabtech upper arms, LSK lower arms, and Fox coils. My truck has Fox shocks with OME Dakar leafs in the rear, with the Dakar AAL added for a 3.5+ inch lift front and rear. I will post more pictures as soon as TacomaWorld lets me upload more then 1 picture each day. Who has undergone this kind of additions to their truck? I needed to refurb the upper arm bushings, which kicked off this undertaking. For a truck with less then 50k miles on it, I am happy I did not wait another 20k miles before breaking the front suspension down. Too many seized bolts already present.
I do want to change to Icon coils and rear shocks in the future, when funds allow. Time to weld!!

Nice, I plan on doing all the gussets soon, too.

Got both sides of the Double Shear kit burned in last night. Can't say enough good things about the Dirt King upper arm kit or Total Chaos' spindle gusset kit. Both companies spent a ton of time and probably $$ making sure their R&D did its job. The steel is cut and bent perfectly for our trucks and I couldn't be happier with the final fit. Now for some paint and then I can reassemble everything and get back on the road. I chose not to install the Total Chaos lower control arm alignment tab gusset kit for now due to time constraints. Everything is going back together with new wheel bearings, brake rotors & pads, tie rods, and hardware. I decided to not change out the uniballs on my upper and lower arms, as they are still tight and working well. Less then 20k miles on the lift. I do have new misalignment spacers and taper pins though. Any estimates on how many miles I can expect to get out of them? Both Fabtech upper arms and LSK lowers use 1" uniballs. Dirt King sourced the new hardware for me.

Reviving from the dead lol. Did you weld the back side of the double shear gussets or do you not need to?

anyone know if more gusseting is recommended (such as coil bucket double shear) for crawling/wheeling? As opposed to jumping

current buckets are stock and haven’t had an issue yet - that I’m aware of
