Dunno. If people have been waving at me, I haven't noticed. However, I also haven't been paying attention or looking for it either. I mean, if I notice someone do it, I wouldn't be a douche about it. Guess to me, it'd be like waving to every one you walk past wearing the same color t-shirt as you.

I wave at nice people in traffic. People who drive well. It's a sincere gesture of thanks for making the world a better place.

If I wanted to be in a club I would have bought a jeep - which baffles me to no end. Why do people buy a jeep to go wherever they want when ever they want an then sign up with a club that has rules and a trail coordinator that tells them where the club is going and all that. I have friends, we go out together some times all of us, sometimes one of us. No rules to follow. If we decide to take a side canyon then we do. No dues. No T-Shirts. No Sargent at Arms.

I never felt like there was a club when I had a Jeep. There was a group from a local off off shop that sometimes had a meet up and a time or two I went out with some guys and gals from Jeepforum. Both were no dues things people just worked out a meet up and had fun. Both groups were mostly Jeeps but others often came in Chevys, Dodges and Toyotas.
Of course I had the weird Liberty CRD with the clacky diesel. The Liberty even lifted was the red headed step child of jeeps but I had fun out there with it. I could idle and crawl over most minor obstacles too.

Up here in the Vancouver area of BC, Canada, just about every other vehicle or just about every vehicle is a late model Taco. When I became the owner of one in 2022, I thought the Luna Rock color was a rear find on the road. Fast forward to late May 2024, and I see at least two other Luna Rock Tacos everyday other than mine, on the road. Arguably even more popular than the Ford F-150.

Yep agreed let anyone with a capable vehicle join in. It should not be complicated or exclusive to a brand or model.

Here where I live in the Susquehanna Valley Tacomas are everywhere too. It's pretty common to be driving and see several in mile or less. There's 3 regularly at my gym at the same time in the afternoons.
