Had a male dog repaired when he was three years old. Because he was neutered, I wasn't as careful about keeping him away from female dogs. Even though repaired, he would gladly service any female dog that asked sweetly.

So things have been moving forward with Duncan's eye surgery... He goes in two days after Christmas for the eye surgery and neutering (Merry Christmas, buddy... sorry :(). Surgery is looking to be in the ballpark of about $900-$1,000, depending on what medicines he will need. This includes the pre-surgery bloodwork panel that's scheduled for the 20th of December.

I spoke with his breeders earlier this week, to let them know about it and send them a little update, and what they responded with brought tears to my eyes at work. They said that they've had a great year (financially) and in addition to having set aside money for a new building for their dogs and future liters, they also want to send Duncan a gift to help out with the surgery. As it stands right now, I'm planning on a making a trip down to visit them and Duncan's parents on Dec 16th, where they plan on sending me home with a check to the Vet in the ballpark of $300-$400!!

I'm hoping that they will have some free time in two weeks for us (myself, Duncan, & my daughter) to go down for a quick visit as well (and that the weather cooperates), because I'd like to get a photo of Duncan with mom and dad for his campaign, but we will have to see.

Photo of the three of us from the middle of August
