    so i noticed today with my steel front that the stock skid is like wedged between the frame and the bumper and doesn't loo like ill get off the skid with the bumper on? common? am i crazy? any else run into it

    Yes i have the same problem on mine. I had to cut and bend the tabs that hold the front of the stock skid in place off to get the bumper to sit flush on the frame

    I don't have a problem. But I have aftermarket skids.

    king 2.5 coils with resi in the front, dirt king lca, TC uca, archive towers, 14" rear kings, shackle flip, dakars HD. pelfreybilt front bumper, sliders and skids, brute force rear bumper, method nv 17" wheels, 35" ko2s, 4.56 gears locked, EBC brakes,TC spindle gussets, dual batterys, arb fridge, bunch of other crap..... more to come
    pretty sure it says right in the installation instructions that youll have to tweak the stock skid

    It does sandwich that little stamped steel skid in there. I just cut the little hooks off since I was going aftermarket anyways. If you care though you can also loosen the bumper.
