Judging by the light on the side of the house across the street, I'm guessing you didn't do a full retrofit with HID projectors.

The pictures aren't really showing any benefit OP.

How did you add your lights?

A few mods here and there and counting....
You're gonna blind on coming traffic and the car ahead of you will hate you. Either retrofit or stock imo.

Exactly I tested a pair of Cali Raised LED's and took them out in 3 days and gave em away. Light scattered all over the place where it didn't need to be, as stated from our lighting guru @crashnburn80 our Halogen Light assemblies are not meant really for anything else but Halogen Lights. I don't care how bright they look, nothing but blinding light to oncoming traffic, and light where it doesn't belong.

    Lmao dang guys.

Try to aim your lights down. Pull about 15 feet away from a flat wall or garage. Attempt to get them pretty accurate. Cover one light completely if you're having trouble.

This. Please, please, please do this. I've seen bad road rage because someone blinded someone and it wasn't intentional.

Get side swiped on a country road because other person was in an older car (country normalities) and could not see. headlights from the 80s combined with old alternators is basically the same as having two burning candles in your headlights

    Guys,

HID AND LED drop in kits are ILLEGAL in all 50 states and 29 countries.

is there a legal way to do a conversion? YES, it involves new headlight housings rated legal by DOT and the EU...(you can find this by looking on the lens, it will have a DOT stamp or an E in a circle with 1,2, or 3 next to it. Then the harnesses must be DOT or E rated. after that you can do as you like. The refractor in "bulb" style headlamps can not focus the increased light discharged by the HID/LED system which leads to scattered light and blinding starbursts at night.

There is a huge article on this......

    https://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/bulbs/Hid/conversions/conversions.html

and has been posted here before

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/texas-laws-and-information-concerning-hid-lights.83185/

Besides, most conversion kits are crap, within a few years they burn out and if you are in luck then that is all they do, most likely the HID will pop and take out the wire harness.....seen them start fires.

    just sayin....

Lol worst thing to do on this site is to post hids in none projectors. Sorry buddy. I had them for years and no problems. And I know someone will say like the police always do on here , o ur lucky, or u just don't care about others on the road, or ur a ass hole for blinding everyone. Remember when posting on here everyone else has never ran a red, speeds, or dose anything wrong in the glass house they live in. I use to run hids in heads and fogs. O while. Have fun.

maybe you have been lucky,or have a good set or you spent time to wire them in correctly, the fact still remains HIDs and LEDs are illegal on a FEDERAL level.........Fed court sucks......

I had 2 sets in a bike once...300 a set, wired in with relays and breakers, lasted 7 years then one day the left blew and took out half of the wire harness.

eventually they will cook off and if you are lucky, only kill the HID and the relay. my knowledge (take it or leave it) comes from working on vehicles and having to diagnose issued like no dash lights,signals,horn,etc.........500 HID sets installed, 498 removed.......(most were 30-40 dollar sets from China)

as far as running reds and speeding.........those to acts don't generally result in crashes or people pulling guns on you. Apples to oranges.....
i know that the law in Texas is no HID/LED, no air horns, no flashing lights of specific colors, and lp lights must be white light.
to pass inspection......again not all inspectors follow the law...... I do, it is called CYA.

I have come to the conclusion that if it is illegal in Texas, it must be the death penalty in other states.

Never once did I say we were all perfect, but, can you afford tickets and court time at this point in low wages and poor jobs?
