Just my two cents on this thread. I’m having the same problem where I bought H11’s to go into my 2018 limited fog light housings. The bulb wouldn’t twist in. Plastic housing with H16 bulbs. Back to the store I go..

I'm having the same problem in my 2022 SR5. The H11 will not fit into the housing. Has anyone cut the tabs and installed H11s without melting wiring or housing? The stock fog lights are worthless.

They don't fit because your vehicle uses foglamps designes for the H16 bulb. Despite sharing a base with the H11 bulb, they are not cross compatible. And there are no "good/decent/upgrade" H16 bulbs. Its a low plwer, low intensity spec.

The earlier H11 wide angle fogs are significantly better. Howevevr, for not much more than picking up a set of those, you can grab several much better oerforming LED fog lamps, a ton of which have been tested and compared in the SAE J583 LED fog lamp thread stickied at the top of the Lighting subforum.

No. Midwest US. I have H16. Not sure if my lenses are glass or plastic but H11 do not fit.

Right, all SR5s got H16s and all 2020+ trucks got H16s.

My lens is plastic but I would sure like a brighter bulb so I don't have to replace the lights. I wonder if H11 bulbs would melt the housing, lens, or wiring.

I tried the H11s in my 2021 housings and I wasn't impressed with the heat that was generated on the plastic lens. I ended up getting some older used housing with the glass lens and have been happy.
