    Will this work for replacing the factory wire antenna ?

    Do you want to tap into the factory antenna using a new head unit (cut factory head wire, splice as above, done), or run a new antenna wire to the existing factory head unit (probably need to cut and splice new wire to the existing harness plug) or? it's not too bad to cut the little coax cable contrary to what some say, just work it out slowly and get good insulated connections, done.

    Just installed an after market head unit in my 2010 access cab. Installer says the shark fin doesn't have satellite capabilities. True or false? He installed a Sirius antennae on the dash that sucks.
    And is this is addressed in another thread, mea culpa, couldn't find it.
