I had just laid down to go to bed, I finally dozed off and woke up 30 minutes later suddenly. My whole body began to feel flushed, as if my blood pressure just skyrocketed. After that, I could barely hear, and my ears began to ring. My body began to shake, and almost every muscle in my body was having a spasm. The whole process only took a minute or two, but it felt like forever. I don't want to jump to conclusions and say it was a seizure, but what do you guys think was the problem? I also have had major back soreness since then. Help me out, I don't want to have to go through that again.

Also a freak thing about it, 2 of my friends said they experienced the SAME exact thing last night. NO we do not take drugs. We're all practically healthy.

Thank you. I would see a doctor, but unfortunately I don't have any health insurance right now. I'm not down for a big bill.

Weird that your friends experienced the same thing. Eat anything out of the ordinary? :rasta:? been exposed to anything out of the norm?

Not that I can remember. Again, I'm a drug free person, don't consume alcohol (usually), at least haven't for a long while.
Some signs point to an anxiety attack, but the issue with that is I'm currently not under any sort of stress or anxiety whatsoever.

Just make sure you take it easy for now and tell your parents or whoever you live with to keep an eye out just incase it happens again.

Have you eaten any large quantities of Velveeta lately? Could've been some wicked-bad gas!

I can guarantee it's nothing I eat. My dad cooks healthy meals every night, and I'm an all around healthy guy.

aliens are probably probing you guys!! but to be serious, go get checked out by a doctor. only downside to that is if the doctor says its a seizure, he might say that you are not cable of driving thus losing your license.

    Get checked out.

Sounds kinda like a seizure to me.

Last thing you want to do is have a recurrence behind the wheel and kill a family.

Did you guys exercise heavily that night? Did you do anything that day that you don't usually do? Doc appt might not be that bad 45-90$(locally to me anyway) if they want to send you to a neurologist and do EEG's etc then you will have to fork out some $$. How old are you 17? Are you covered by your parents?

    More questions to think of:

    Personal History
Any new meds: Supplements or Rx? (borrowed/stolen)
New foods/drinks : ? Drink only redbull for instance etc?
Activity: What did you and/or your friends do that day it happened?
    Sleep pattern: Any recent changes?
    New Pets?
    Exposure to toxins?

    Do you have any allergies?

    Family History
Family H: Do you have seizure disorder in the family; mom, dad, sister, brother, grandparents, uncles aunts anyone?

Do you have anxiety in your family?

Do you have Thyroid/parathyroid/liver disease in your family?

    Is anyone diabetic?

    Questions you might have?
Why did my friends experience it too? Who knows really, are they telling the truth? Did anyone exaggerate it?

In any case, go see a doc locally. They need to evaluate you, do an assessment, probably basic blood work. If they consult a neurologist do whatever you can do make that appointment.

Hope all works out for the best.
