Got mine done this week. Took the dealer about 2.5 hours. I noticed that with the new pump my truck doesn’t bog down or have that “stalling out” feeling when accelerating from a dead stop or when going up a steep grade. Maybe it’s all in my head but it does have a little more oomph than before.
Just did a 300 mile round trip from Missoula to Whitefish, MT and averaged 21.9 mpg.

Had my fuel pump replaced today along with 2 year 20,000 mile free Toyota care service (cabin filter, oil & filter change, tire rotation and basic checks), also replaced wiper blades. I waited and they were done in 2 hours and 7 minutes, surprised how fast, hope they did everything lol. Service guy said they have lots of experience and surprisingly they’ve had more issues with other Toyota’s of various models fuel pumps not under the recall than the ones under recall, he thinks there may be more recalls for those eventually.
I had no issues before replacement and none on the drive home. Will keep up with mileage checks Ive seen some posts folks made saying they lost 2-3 mpg after replacement (others said no change), that’s strange.

How long is it taking your dealers to get the part for the recall? I went to my local dealer 4 weeks ago and they took my VIN and said they would contact me when they had the part. I went back by about a week and a half ago and they said they are having trouble getting parts. I know COVID screwed things up, but just wondered what other have experienced.

Just got a call. They said they won’t have it done today... it’s been in the dealer for 6 hours now and they want to keep it overnight... Concord Toyota CA

Not ideal but at least it's getting done.

Different repair but so far it's been 2 months and might be another 3-4 months to get my 2010 back....frame.

It would be interesting to learn what TIME you brought it in there to Concord Toyota. The recall notice itself clearly states that it should take only 2 hours. I DO know that at least, the dealer I went to, One Toyota in Oakland, told me that they only have certain technicians that they let perform the fuel pump procedure, as they wanted their best people only to do it. that was nice to hear when I checked it in, and really, i was somewhat surprised to hear them say it. But mine was ready in about 2 hours, and no complaints here.

Had mine done this morning (Jay Toyota ,Columbus,GA)along with my 25,000 free oil change. Took 2 hours and seems to drive more off throttle than before. Dealer told me I need a power steering fluid change as it is time to change every 20,000 miles. I passed on that part. And also an alignment every 20,000 miles.. Nope..:spending:

I brought it in for a 10:20am appointment. He told me on the phone at around 5 that they were down 4 techs. He did offer a rental. It’s down the street from my house so I told him as long as nothing is wrong. Get it done. He said he would call me in the am at 8:30 at the latest when it will be done no call. I gave him till 9 then I called them. Was told Trucks done. Went down and seems fine so far. Fingers crossed and glad that’s over. Hoping to never have to take it in again.

Thanks for the update. While I actually like my dealer, and even though they have done an excellent job during the times I brought my truck in there during the free oil change period, and did a good job in this fuel pump recall, I much prefer my local mechanic who has been working on our cars for about 25 years. I can drop my vehicle off there, and just walk home. Whereas, going to the dealer, I have to either sit there and wait, or have someone pick me up and then take me back when it is done. In the old days, the dealer had a free dealer shuttle, but when I actually asked about that this last time, they said they would call me an Uber. Still free for me, but I do not do Uber or Lyft!
