Nice to finally see some green on green action.

At the right time of year (after the monsoon) even Phoenix has green in the Sonoran Desert ...

Nothing beats the smell of the Arizona desert after a monsoon and the sun peaking through the clouds. Very few parts I miss about living in AZ and that's one of them.

People who have not walked the sonoran spaces may not appreciate the "hay" smell that permeates the air during the hot/dry. And the multi-factored smell from the creosote bush that is part-floral and part-licorice ... the rain washing the 39-part plant oils off.

Walks without some asshat invading the silence with speakers (yes ... some actually do that!) ... do not even need steep hills and large challenges just to enjoy the spaces.
