Has anyone ran their Taco 2017 sport access cab though Hafners car wash?

I live in MASS and WINTER is right around the corner - I've tried brushless car washes in the winter but they do a lousy job.

I read a post from a 2016 Taco owner who put his Taco thru an automatic car wash and the rear fenders (where they bump out) got pushed in and damaged. Both sides. It was not Hafners car wash.

If anyone here in MASS. Has put their Taco 3rd Gen. thru HAFNERS car wash I would appreciate any info. Just want to make sure it’s safe. I know I will probably get swirls on the paint but it’s better than leaving it covered in salt.

    Thanks!

Those car washes with brushes are terrible, they dont do the best job cleaning plus they damage your paint and never clean the tailgate properly.

Imagine how many dirty/muddy cars go through there and that dirt sticks to the brushes.

IMO the best way to protect the paint is apply ceramic coating, then use those self car washes where you can pressure wash yourself. That way you can get most of the salt off. If you can, every couple weeks give it a good handwash if you have the space.

    Good luck man!

Our touchless does the job in the winter. Even does the under spray when you first pull in.

Perhaps you should try another car Wash!

Touchless car washes do not clean a vehicle. I go to a few car washes that have the big rotating brushes, they work great. The key is to hand dry the vehicle afterwards to avoid spots and get it really super clean. The good washes have towels for you.

I've washed many cars where the water would start to freeze while drying them...in my garage.

MN winter here, I got a unlimited wash tag from holiday gas stations. I use it 2-3 times a week in the winter to keep any and all salt off my truck. I try to wash it on my way home from after a snow storm, then again in the morning. If its still slushy when Im driving and kicks up salty slush under my truck I will run it again on my way home.

But really, stay away from the brushed car washes, stick to touchless. It may not make the truck perfect, but it will clear off salt pretty easy.

They have heated sprayers at the manual washes. Just spray it down. And in the spring hand wash it.

I use the Hafner's in Hudson NH and have had no issues... No car wash is perfect.

As long as you don't use the "foaming brush" most of them have. That thing has more rocks in it than Moab.

My experience with automated washes is to make sure I have a good sealer on right before winter, then use the car washes sparingly. Then correct the paint in the spring. Some colors are more forgiving. Good luck.
