I have to say, where the ruts are is where they will put your rig. The shit I was in was grease, literally. I nearly busted my ass getting out of the FJ and nearly slid off a cliff on the way down. In this picture, my only hope was to winch out. Rear wheels were in a rut and the front were too. I was in 4lo, diff lock on and ATrac engaged and was getting no where. But I did make it farther than my friend in his jeep. He's at the bottom of the hill waiting.

If you have someone thats 4x4 let them go first. :D Then you can try going slow through it. If you get stuck let the 4x4 pull you out. Driving 2wd in mud sucks..

I was there...Derek did the best he could have in the situation presented. He was the first to go. He is also a prerunner. It was very slippery. Snow. Epic fail...I think not.

Looks like this was a fun trail. I think he gave it an awesome go, and did great. At least he got out, not a fail in my book. I used to drive a 2x4, and had a blast in it. Almost more fun doing everything in 2 wheel.

Dumb ass: I took off my mirror backing into the garage when the truck was 6 months old.

Ouch!! I'm not sure I'd brag too much about that. At least say you were testing your truck's capabilities and backing into garage at 68 mph.

When I was in high school I was at my buddies house and he was washing his truck in the driveway. Afterwards, he was backing into the garage with the door cracked and his leg hanging out. The door snagged on the wall and pulled his door out to perpendicular with the vehicle. It was hilarious!

Yes, muddy ruts throw you around however they damn well please. They leave you feeling cheap and used like the bitch you are.

No fail there in my book. I think you did a great job considering the circumstances. Ruts suck ass and they never go as planned when its muddy as hell.

Shit happens. Its a truck, and you drive it like one...not a fail in my book.

Its just an excuse to get rid of the shitty tin foil factory bumper and go with a plate bumper. Thats what I told myself when I bent the shit out of mine.

all looks like great wheeling to me. As long as you have at least 2 tires on the ground at once=FUN! the rest is just part of the game! I know that i'ma screw something up one of these days, just hope that i have video of it when i do so everyone else can learn from my mistakes!
