Hahaha 70% tread and 6 months old - used tire ads

I think part of experimenting with tires/tire sizes and setups is looking for used setups because let's face it, tires depreciate like 50% once they are mounted. Rarely used good setups come around sometimes but they are the exception and not the normal.

I don't buy used tires anymore because when I was younger I just got burned too much without knowing better. Now I just buy a new set of tires and deal with it even if I want them a little taller, wider, shorter, or skinnier.

What I get a kick about is how people ALWAYS misrepresent tires. This one really cracked me up so I thought I would share. This is what the ad says-

"...Toyo Open Country Rugged Terrain RT 285/65/18 tires with 70% tread...I bought the Toyo RT Tires about 6 months ago brand new and cost $1400..."

Who the f is this guy kidding? lol. You can see the rubber is dried and older, look at the tire on the left? 70% tread?
