Had to take desperate measures last night. Hail storm hit. No cover. Used a fire place screen and bed cover to keep glass from being broke. image.jpg

    Nothing worthy
Ill have to remember the bed matt! Good idea.

I've had to strip the beds of duvet covers and pillows to run out and toss them on the rides. Works!
Then I have to do laundry..

    nothing cool
My truck didn't make it... cracked windshield. Not from hail(I think). But from the high winds and rocks and debris flying.

I would've found a covered spot somewhere and cabbed home. Thank god we don't have hail like some of you guys here in BC.

How does this all unfold for insurance companies when people vehicles get demoed in hail storms? Curious as i've seen some serious damage in the past.

That same exact storm passed over us here just west of you. I got lucky but from the sounds some in Mizzou did not.

Mine got pelted with quarter size hail last week. No damage. If it would of dented the body up, I was going to have it Line-X'ed.

I'm also wondering if it would be cheaper to put the bed liner on the hood and save it and let the windshield get busted. Seems my insurance will replace the windshield on scene for just a few bucks.

I live in Raytown part of the Kansas City metro missed the hail damage too! In 2014 not so lucky $11,000 damage to 2001 F250 and $13,000 to a brand new 2014 ford explorer, that 's not counting damage to the house and shed/car port.

If hail would have damaged hood, maybe I could have upgraded to a scooped hood. Still trying to swap,it.

I have a quote from Line-X to do the hood and the cab roof for between $550 to $675. Like to get the entire truck exterior done if I decide to keep the truck in a couple years. They keep going up and up in price I may just have it done. Be allot cheaper than buying a new one. And no more waxing!!!
