Thanks for reminding me that I need to replace my clock spring this weekend, along with all the other maintenance items I have.

Also, I've talked with several other folks post this trip and that road to Fisher Lake doesn't go through to Deer Lodge. So we'd have been retracing our steps and wasting even more time. As it was, our wussing out resulting in a fabulous early night to camp. Time well spent.

Yeah, but that was after the fact. On the trip, we were trying to get through to Deer Lodge (and then Carruthers).

No matter, I'm up for going back, just to check out the lake. Maybe you can join us next time.

Of course, the time it will take to upload my punchline kind of undermines the premise of the joke, but screw it, I'm not going to miss a chance to make fun of Dan.

 

It depends on what he is actually standing on. If it is the roof of the truck (unlikely) I'm not too worried. But if it is the RTT/bed rack (very likely), I hope his life insurance is paid up for Melissa's sake 'cause I know who welded those bars together. It's on the level of traipsing thru old mining tunnels.

Honestly, at this point, I've got dozens of spots marked, and I'll be disappointed if you didn't hit the vast majority of them.

Other than the part where my tent folded itself this trip is one big anticlimax after another I'm afraid haha.

There's only one more part, and I've already spoiled that with photos at the beginning.

I should have used that as the trip name.

 

Well, I'm going to assume that by "anticlimax" you mean "endless abandoned mines and railroad infrastructure." So... I'm going to go microwave some popcorn.
