I am going to be picking up my 2017 TRD OR FDSB today at the port.

Last week when I was in town I saw different versions of my truck all around a store parking lot. One had just the sort of rack I would want.

Since the bed is so short on my truck, getting one of those racks with both supports in the bed seems odd since there is not much distance between them.

One of these truck I saw had a rack that was a hybrid though both parts looked like the same animal and that they were meant to do this. One was in the bed and appeared to be fully adjustable up and down and front and back along the side bed track. The other was on the cab and had this clamp that fit in the groove and under the top of the door. Because the back one was fully adjustable, it could be at the same height as the one on the cab so that it could support anything long very well, like Kayaks, poles, lumber, you name it. I could have sworn that it was a Thule but I emailed them and they said they do not sell partial racks and the bed racks they sell are set at the corners of the bed. This Rack I saw was not at the corner of the bed and looked fully adjustable.

Anyone know what I am referring to and know who makes these?

    Thanks much!

I should have said that one bar was over roof and one over bed.

so, I guess it is a hybrid roof/bed rack.
