Half-baked Vermont Excursion - 8/27 to 8/30

Yeah maybe I'll meet up with you guys Friday evening

 

I'm hoping we can get everyone together by 3-4pm so we have plenty of time to find a campsite before dark.

 

Yeah, when I mentioned Cabot the other day, I was thinking 2-3 of us. We're looking to be well beyond that now. East Burke was actually going to be on the way to our first night of camping on Thursday even if we started from Cabot, and it's just off I-91 which will make it easier for folks to get to.

Edit: last weekend in August, correct.

 

We should be over in the Waitsfield area on Friday night if all goes well.

our current School calendar tells me I am supposed to be working on Friday, maybe meet up Friday evening. I have a feeling that stress levels that day (staff day number 2 back at school) will be through the roof.

I will have room in my RTT if I make this. It's the XL so sleeps 3 perfectly, just no touching.

Roger that! 3.5h from work so I might try to get in the half in the morning, 7-11 maybe then swing by grab the dog and skeedaddly up there. Maybe wife. Likely dog. Maybe wife.

Just did ~2 weeks with the dog cross country kipping up in the back seat. Wouldn't say it's the most comfortable but, it's the easiest and cheapest. Camp: Done. If I don't sell the softtopper by then, I MIGHT try that instead, we'll see.





@BadDNA what's the fuel stop situation like? NMW plan was basically: Bring gas because you might run out, this trip looks like we'll be popping in and out of civilization (fuel stops)?
