VTrans has town by town maps that show Class-IV roads and legal trails through the state. It can be a bit tedious to search for them, and half the ones I've found are completely disused at this point and no longer passable, but when you find some good ones...:burnrubber:

I’m gonna have to skip this as it’s too last minute. If I saw this a couple weeks ago I’d have made it work. Unfortunately I can’t take the time off from work with a short notice.

Shawn will have the route files. I'm sure one way or another you'll get to check at least parts of this out.

How are the mosquitos up there? Should I bathe in permethrin before going?

I'm excited, should be a good time. Looks like it's gonna be a little wet but that will just make it more interesting. This is good, it's making me get off my ass and do the front brakes/ wheel bearings on the Landcruiser. As well as a few other misc items.

'Skeeters haven't been too bad this year, but some bug dope would still be advised. Weather looks interesting for Thu-Fri to start the trip, but I don't think it'll be too bad if it's anything like the past couple of days here.

Woke up this morning stressing about this week. First time since March for both the wife and I working in person.

Think it’s best to not join you folks Friday night. Realistically, I wouldn’t be leaving Maine till after 4 if not later. Depending on where you folks are it’s 4 to 5 hours, and I don’t want to be setting up camp at 10 or later.

    Enjoy.

Agree, I just don’t know what this week is going to be like, headed back into school. Thankfully just trainings this week, but still in an old building with lots of others.

I'm in a similar boat. We had two potential exposure risks at work last week, waiting for test results on both. If either come back positive, I'm out - even though I am a minimal to no exposure risk to either one, it's the middle man between them that could get to me. WFH this week, so if they come back negative I'm good.

The wife said no a while back, too many people. I convinced her, this trip would be fine. I just know what back to school typically does to the stress level for my wife. I’m usually fine, but woke up super stressed and thought about logistics. So I’ll spend the week listening to people with more education than me tell me what to do that probably won’t make sense or change with in the first hour of kids in the building.

Luckily RI is delayed to mid September. I am a little worried about the little typhoid marys running around. And yeah, schools opened and then almost immediately shut down in a ton of places.

PS - good news, one of the test results came back negative, so we're 1 for 2 right now!

My daughter is delayed until the 16th of September too. We have just been self quarantining at home the past 2 weeks. No where to go anyways so it's been pretty easy. I am excited for this trip, it's gonna be fun. I haven't wheeled at all this year between 'rona and general insanity at work before that.

We came back from Virginia Beach on Thursday and wife and I were tested, both negative. Continuing to work at home and despite negative tests, remain quarantined at home until the trip up north.

Haven't done any multi-day trip camping in a while and havent done multi-day trip wheeling so I'm excited. Usual wheeling was local and not anything too crazy as there are no "legal" trails in CT.

Any expected time for Sunday end of day? I thought I remembered you saying Sunday would be a shorter/early-ish day?

Edit to add: Both exposure cases at work tested negative, woo! Good to go.

Edit more: Okay, so...I might be delayed until Friday night. I would get there likely around midnight though. Gah. Assuming Waterbury as the Friday night overnight halt.

Not sure on Sunday timing. We'll try to make it a short day if possible, but we will be south of Killington all day, so if time becomes an issue for anyone we can always find a quick exit.

Friday night we'll be a little further south, Waitsfield area, possibly on or near Sugarbush.
