Half Off dual port USB portable solar charger

I didn't really need it, but I couldn't pass up a good deal! The build quality looks good, however, it did not work with my iPhone 6. I contacted the company and received the following response: ".... the issue you described is a general problem for all non-MFI charger. We cannot guarantee 100% compatibility but it would help if you are using an MFI cable to connect the solar panel with your phone."

Unfortunately, the MFI (Made For iPhone/iPad) cable did not work. So if you are purchasing this to charge an Apple product, it may not work.

 

I think I have a 5 and it worked. You could also get a battery pack to charge then use that for the phone. An extra step, but I do this frequently when camping. Charge battery packs in the day to plug phone into at night.

 

I'm going to try my wife's 6 and see what it does. I didn't even know what a MFI was.

My old 5C is still alive!!! Wife keeps nagging me to get a new one but until this one dies i'm sticking with it.

Been looking for something like this for a while now, so i picked it up. Thank you for sharing.

 

Got mine today, tested it out in bright sunlight, charge time (showed in phone screen) was equal to the new 2018 Samsung wireless charger, with s9+ phone battery at 90%. I'll run the phone battery down and test again.

Impressed so far.

Just tested with battery at 85%, sunny but clouds, still charged same rate as my wireless fast charger.
