Started doing my retro tonight and I'm a bit torn between where I want the halo to go. I think it looks the best on the outside. However the LED halo is yellow when it's off and will probably look like crap against chrome or matte black. The ring also looks good behind the shroud, but then I feel like I paid extra money for something that i'm just going to hide behind the projector shroud.

    Any thoughts??

I don't think it looks good since it's so yellow...

not sure about painting the bowl. Was wanting to tape the bowl up and paint the tape, that way if i didn't like it, I could just remove the tape.

    I don't think it'll look retarded. Infact I know it won't

Dude you HAVE to go inside, that is way rad and I've never seen it done like that before.
Doesn't look to me as ricer as having a halo, instead it makes it look like you've got tony starks arc reactor. Really unique. I dig it. Please post up pics when you're done!

We did my buddies inside and it looked sweet. I will never do halos again though because they go out fast. His went out about 2 weeks after the instal on one light and the other about a month after.

Here's what I managed to take before my phone went dead
    [IMG]
Before assembling the housing back together
    [IMG]
A look at the halo and projector off
    [IMG]
And this with everything turned on.

Unfortunately the lights exploit the poor condition of the lenses. Another project that will consume me until they look like glass.
Will try to get better photos tomorrow night.
